About Julie

Julie Buffenbarger is a 29-year resident of Granger Township.  She presently is employed as a Senior Scientist & Sustainability Principal for Beton Consulting Engineers, Mendota Heights, Minnesota and also serves part-time as a QA/QC manager for Tech Ready Mix in Cleveland, Ohio.  She previously co-owned Eagle Valley Beach Club in Broadview Heights, Ohio and initiated adult, girls, and boys sand volleyball leagues.  Julie presently serves as Vice President for Development for the National Cambridge Glass Collectors and holds numerous leadership positions within the American Concrete Institute.

 

Julie has proficient knowledge of building codes and construction specifications.  She has 28 years in the concrete construction industry and has received multiple awards and certifications from the industry for her work and dedication.  She is a Fellow of the American Concrete Institute and is an accredited professional with the United States Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design New Construction/Schools (LEED AP BC+D) and is also versed in other multiple buildings, roads, and infrastructure sustainable and resilient rating systems. 

 

Buffenbarger received her B.S. in Chemistry and M.S. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio in 1987 and 1993. 

 

In her free time, Julie enjoys playing volleyball, gardening, and spending time with her husband Don Andrews and their family pets.
